Endowed Gifts
Your Gift Can Last Forever
An endowment gift to Harvard-Westlake School today provides a brighter picture for our future. When you make a donation to our endowment, you give a gift with both immediate and long-term benefits.
Endowment donations are invested. A portion of the annual income from the investment is used to address immediate needs at HW. The remaining funds are reinvested to ensure indefinite support.
Profound Appreciation
Ami Kramer Cohen '81 is one of the biggest boosters of student endowment programs.
"How lucky I was that someone, whom I did not know and who did not know me, had the foresight and generosity to sponsor me through a scholar endowed fund.
"Each class, each teacher, each relationship expanded my sense of self and my view of the world. I asked bigger questions, considered new horizons and dared to dream of college. My dreams came true: I thrived at UC Berkeley and then achieved an MBA at the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA."
"As a parent, I want to provide a safe, nurturing environment, where I can help my children find their joys, reach their potential and dream dreams," she says. "My mother wanted to provide these things for me but was limited raising four children on her own. I was lucky because I was nurtured and given individualized attention, not only academically but emotionally as well. At school, others believed in me and my confidence soared.
"As a scholarship recipient, I was given a gift that is still enriching me so many years after having been awarded it. Today there is another 11-year-old who needs that door opened at Harvard–Westlake."
